Dave has been happily married to his co-pilot Connie for 35 years and has three children James, Hannah and Emma. Two grandchildren, three dogs, and three cows.

Connie and Dave spent their younger years at the beach sailing and racing catamarans, winning three Australian Titles and a few State Titles, which shows his competitive nature

Born in Brisbane, Dave started flying at Redcliffe in a Skyfox tail dragger, obtaining his RAA certificate. During his early years of flying, Dave flew a Lightwing, and Gazelle before moving to the tablelands 14 years ago and purchasing  Far North Office Choice. Dave has been in the office supply industry for around thirty years and on the board for the Office Choice Group.

Living in Tolga on a few acres Dave and Connie enjoy the space and tranquility of the area. After years of traffic and people in the city it is so nice to live where they do .

After moving to North Queensland Dave had not flown for a few years. After meeting up with Jon Collins who was on our our children’s maths teacher, Dave learnt that Jon had just built a small Xair and wanted to build another plane so between the two of them, built a Zodiac 601. After that Dave and Connie purchased a Jabiru 230 which they flew all over Australia.  Connie decided to obtain her RAA certificate and shared the flying wherever they went.

Wanting to travel more of this great brown land, they purchased a Bonanza and not long after the kids all moved away, the trips consisted of visiting them as often as we could.

Dave and Connie now have a great Glasair II Super RG that takes them all over the place, recently flying down to Tasmania which they throughly enjoyed.
